Pacific Balanced Fund (PBF) is a unlisted unit trust based in PNG and invests in unlisted assets, equities and fixed income within PNG. Unitholders consists of individuals as well as institutions such as Nasfund. The Fund earns investment income through capital gains, dividends and interest income. Initially established in 1973 as the Investment Corporation Fund of Papua New Guinea and was one of the first collective investment schemes within PNG. The trusteeship of PBF was originally state managed until privatized in 2002 under that Securities Act 1997. Weathermen Capital Advisors Limited is currently serving as the trustee of PBF.
